For those who thought graffiti wasn’t an art form: David, Adam and Iona’s Graffiti Live Gallery, just off Brick Lane, will make you think again. If you enter this inviting space, previously a dilapidated clothes shop in dire need of their TLC, you’ll witness monthly changing shows. These usually start on the first Thursday of every month, and display detailed works you’d never think possible to achieve with a simple can of spray paint – a true testament to how far the art form has come.
David’s love for street art has been going strong for over 13 years, during which time he has traveled the world searching for his next graffiti fix. So, feel free to quiz him on your next visit – he has loads of brilliant stories! This wealth of experience, plus an extensive creative network, contributes to putting together brilliant collaborative shows in the Graffiti Live Gallery. Artists sell their pieces at affordable entry price points, sometimes for as little as £30 where as for the big works you’d be looking at prices from the £500 mark. However, the dream team’s work doesn’t stop there, a large part of their business also comes from hosting workshops or being commissioned to do live art performances, murals and more.
